album of the month: Palehound -A Place I’ll Always Go

Palehound is an American band fronted by Ellen Kempner who have released two albums, Dry Food and A Place I’ll Always Go (2017), the Bent Nail EP (2013) and a number of 7″ singles. Initially a solo project, the band currently features Kempner on vocals/guitar, Jesse Weiss on drums and Larz Brogan on bass.

here enters A Place I’ll Always Go , a beautifully well made album that’s tender and sincere and the more you listen to the more fall deep into the world that she retells that fills you with nostalgic overtones that painted with Ellens soft vocals makes for an amazing album.
Palehound signature sound seems mixed but overall the tone and melodies to their song rides upon Ellens masterful vocals on her delivery and well made lyrics.
